Saturday, March 9th Brooklyn Art Spaces Open Until 10 PM
Brooklyn Armory Night, March 9th, 2013, will bring an exciting host of art exhibits, events and performances across northern Brooklyn. This year marks the 11th anniversary of the annual Williamsburg Afterhours event. And celebrates the centennial of the New York Armory Show. Bushwick, Greenpoint and Williamsburg galleries will be open until 10pm, in celebration of Armory Arts Week’s Brooklyn night.
In addition to gallery exhibitions and events, Williamsburg will light up the night with video works at various locations throughout the neighborhood. Street level video projections will illuminate the night, with site-specific works, video installations and projection art. Along the route of participating galleries for this year’s WIlliamsburg Afterhours event, local bars and restaurants will be transformed with artist’s video presentations immersing the neighborhood in a festival of the arts. The evening will continue at Donna’s on Grand Street for an afterhours afterparty.
Bushwick’s streets come alive with the arts, with galleries and alternative arts spaces open from 6-10pm. Specially planned performances, exhibitions and events abound throughout Bushwick for this exciting evening of the arts.
Join Brooklyn for an exhilarating night celebrating our local art scene in partnership with Armory Arts Week.
